This white paper delves into the topic of metadata and NoSQL databases, in particular key-value store databases. Metadata is an important part of data transactions, especially if the transactions, are complex and time sensitive, such as debit and credit card transactions in which a decision to accept or decline must be made quickly.
The white paper also takes a peek at the use of metadata in the new age of IoT (Internet of Things), where the trend is to inter-connect everything – databases, devices, servers, systems, etc. This new way of doing business will require metadata to be processed near the data collection points.
