Lucian Fogoros

Lucian Fogoros is the Co-Founder of IIoT World, a global industrial technology media and events platform focused on Industrial IoT, Industrial AI, automation, manufacturing, energy, and industrial cybersecurity.

An entrepreneurial software engineer and business leader, Lucian has worked in the industrial software and automation industry since 1998. Throughout his career, he has combined technology expertise with business leadership, helping organizations navigate digital transformation and the evolution toward connected and intelligent industrial operations.

His experience spans software development, product development, training, marketing, pre-sales, product management, M&A integration, and global marketing. This diverse background gives him a practical perspective on how emerging technologies move from innovation and experimentation to real-world industrial applications.

Lucian holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University and an MBA in Entrepreneurial Finance from Case Western Reserve University.

He has been actively involved in the global Industrial IoT and Industry 4.0 communities for many years, working with technology companies, manufacturers, analysts, and industry leaders to explore the business impact of emerging technologies. Through IIoT World, Lucian has moderated and participated in discussions involving executives from major technology and industrial companies, covering topics ranging from Industrial AI and digital transformation to IT/OT convergence, automation, predictive analytics, and industrial cybersecurity.

Lucian is also an educator. He has taught in the Electrical and Computer Science Department at Cleveland State University, with a focus on Industrial Automation and Industrial IoT.

His international business experience includes serving as the World Trade Center Cleveland Representative for Eastern Europe and as a Board Member of Promisepartner.biz. Lucian was also selected to represent the United States in Europe for Technology and Services as part of an economic trade mission led by Dr. Samuel Bodman, then Undersecretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

As a speaker and moderator, Lucian has participated in events and executive discussions across the United States, Europe, and Asia, including Hannover Messe, IBM Think, CxO Series, Gartner Symposium, LiveWorx, and IIoT World’s global event series.
