John Boruvka is the Vice President of US Sales for NCC Group’s Software Resilience business unit. John has been involved in the software escrow and intellectual property management field for more than three decades and is considered an authority in the field of software escrow, SaaS escrow, and issues surrounding the role of a neutral third party in protecting intellectual property. NCC Group is the world's largest software escrow agent providing services for more than 14,000 businesses in 135 countries to help organizations build software resilience. In 2021, NCC Group acquired Iron Mountain’s Intellectual Property Management (IPM) business, combining the largest software escrow agents in the UK and the US. John was instrumental in managing the acquisition process for Iron Mountain. Software escrow provides assurance that the source code and data behind critical applications are secure, and always available. This lets businesses protect their IT investments, manage third-party risk, and maintain the software application in the event of software supply-chain disruption. John has written thought leadership articles and presented extensively on these topics at associations, industry meetings, and prestigious law firms across the United States, Canada, South America, and Europe, including:
